Colloquially known as “the met,” the Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York City is the largest and most visited museum in the United States. The museum received in 2016, 7.06 million visitors, founded in 1870 and opened its doors in 1872. The permanent collection contains over two million works. It is a must to see!
