The social and charity event of the season, hosted by Mark & Katherine Bellissimo welcomed over 1,000 people to The Wanderers Club in Wellington, Florida. The entire who’s who of Palm Beach and the equestrian scene was at the White Party. Now in its third year.
Brooke USA’s mission is to improve the welfare of working horses, donkeys and mules and the people they serve throughout Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America by raising funds and responsibly directing them to the areas of greatest need.
Brooke USA helps equine owners, service providers and governments in the developing world to implement scientifically proven, practical, sustainable and culturally relevant solutions to enormous animal welfare challenges. Brooke USA raises funds to support a wide variety of programs for working horses, donkeys and mules to help them become (and remain) healthy and happy now and in the long-term, which also benefits the impoverished families who depend on those animals to help them earn a living. Making a difference in the lives of these animals benefits the impoverished families who rely on them to earn a living.
Nic Roldan, the Ambassador of Brooke USA Event
Nic Roldan is currently, the leading American polo player with an impressive 8-goal handicap rating. He remains the youngest polo player in the world to win the prestigious U.S. Open Polo title at the age of 15 and is currently Captain of the U.S. National Polo Team.
It is essential to Nic to be an advocate for the horses that have worked so hard for his sport throughout his career. He makes his living from the horses he works with, so Nic was thrilled in 2016 when he was chosen as the first polo ambassador for Brooke USA, the sister organization to the Brooke. Brooke’s mission is to help working horses, and the people who depend on them resonated with Nic, and he instantly felt a connection with the organization.
