The trophy ceremony took place at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre in Spain and featured performances by Nicki Minaj, Janet Jackson, Little Mix, among other artists. Janet, incidentally, was honored with the Global icon Trophy.
Camila Cabello was the great winner of the award; the singer took four trophies home; Shawn Mendes, the great winner of the 2017 edition, received two prizes back, in the categories Best Live artist and best Canadian artist.
Competing in Regional category, Anita won as best Brazilian artist. The singer disputed the award with Alok, Ludmilla, Nego Do Borel among others.
